The department was established in the academic year 2003-2004, headed by Qarin professors on loan from Egyptian universities until 2011. Then the department continued to cooperate with the University of Tripoli based on cooperation until now. The department currently has four teaching assistants committed to working in the department, and there are no teaching staff in the department currently.
